Growing up in Germany and moving to the States was a big change. When I was asked what I missed the most, the answer was: the German Bakeries.That was the beginning of my journey to learn the art of German baking and to show others how to create some of Germany's most popular breads and desserts.

In 2023, I proudly launched Raven Cakes Bakery LLC, my micro bakery dedicated to bringing authentic German desserts to local farmers markets. I invite you to visit and indulge in my menu that celebrates true German baking traditions. Additionally, I serve as a baking instructor, sharing my passion for crafting authentic desserts that you can enjoy with others.

Willkommen, to my German Baking Blog

Hi, my name is Davia, and I am so grateful that you are here. I am the owner of my Micro Bakery, Raven Cakes Bakery LLC, where I sell authentic German desserts at local farmers' markets in NJ, USA. I also work as a baking instructor, teaching others how to bake German desserts and breads. I grew up in Stuttgart, Germany, and moved to New Jersey in 2006. Soon, I realized how much I missed German bakeries, which sparked my desire to learn. I started with my grandmother's baking book and baked my way through each recipe. Over time, my collection of recipes grew, I learned, and I quickly adapted how to make these desserts and breads using the ingredients that are readily available in America.
